“The disc contains interpretations in a very economical, but very moving form,” Łukasz Dębowski from the website Polska Record-Polska Muzyka wrote.
“The sound of the piano and the extraction of moving sounds were enough to call this event an excellent experience ... The artist showed the essence of her own achievements, where the smallest detail has its meaning. The ability to dress emotions in sounds is not only a matter of talent in this case but also a question of spirituality that is difficult to describe. All compositions look very natural, even organic. And it is precisely the frugality in expression that adds authenticity to this event. Added to this is the ability to pause, where even the flow of air between sounds matters and creates something emotionally deep (‘Over The Rainbow’). The silence between the sounds can also be a piece of art. Precision does not kill the pleasure of receiving it, because Beata Szałwińska performs individual compositions with great ease. At the same time, we get the highest form of commitment,” the review reads.
Beata Szałwińska is a versatile pianist with a great musical personality. She lives in Luxembourg and has been successful on international stages for many years. Her work is characterized by mixing various styles and musical genres.
