HICP inflation in Poland higher than in December

HICP inflation in Poland amounted to 3.6 percent y/y in January 2021 against 3.4 percent y/y inflation a month earlier, the EU statistical office Eurostat reported. In monthly terms, the index increased by 0.9 percent.

Across the EU, HICP inflation amounted to 1.2 percent y/y in January.

Consumer inflation (CPI) in Poland was 2.7 percent on an annualized basis in January 2021, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) previously reported.
