Housing estate in Kabaty under fire from residents and city councilor
Echo Investment plans to build 11 residential buildings with around 400 apartments on the former Tesco site in Kabaty, Warsaw. The project includes 15–20 service units, 304–355 parking spots, a 150-space Park & Ride, and 1,100 bicycle stands. Local residents and Ursynów council members strongly oppose the plan, citing insufficient parking, excessive bicycle infrastructure, and the risk of traffic congestion. Councilman Łukasz Błaszczyk submitted formal objections, calling for reduced building scale, more parking spaces, and meaningful community consultation.
Critics argue that one in four apartments may lack a dedicated parking space and that three bike spots per unit are excessive, urging authorities to align the development with real local needs
