Today, we live in times of widespread availability of technology, and video conferencing is an important part of our personal and professional lives. However, as noted by Jakub Abramczyk, Sales Director Eastern Europe at Poly, we have not yet been able to solve all the challenges associated with it. Problems with joining the conversation, an application that does not find a camera or a microphone, or dormant interlocutors still regularly accompany us during video calls.
"Most video conferencing problems are due to limited network bandwidth. The infrastructure that was created a few years ago is often not designed to support continuous video and audio transmission. Reasons for connection problems can also be found in network devices," says Abramczyk.
The proper organization of video conferencing significantly affects its quality. Prolonged meetings, which do not require any activity from some users, can easily be a waste of time, and participants will only be tired and distracted, and as a consequence leave the meeting without gaining practical insights.
"To avoid this, share the program before the meeting. Set the rules by specifying who will lead the meeting, choose the person who will give the presentation and specify which speaker will give the next speaker," expert advises.
It is worth investing in high-quality technology that is now faster, works and easier to use than ever before to enable participants to communicate and collaborate without the interference that often occurs during video conferencing, such as delays, background noise and a blurred image.
