KSeF causing issues with businesses, sparking worries
Poland’s Krajowy System e-Faktur (KSeF) has launched on schedule, with no major technical failures during its first days of operation. From 1 February, around 4,200 of the country’s largest companies—those with annual turnover above PLN 200 million—are required to issue invoices exclusively through the system. On the first day, more than 50,000 invoices were submitted, rising to about 720,000 by Monday morning, with some large firms generating tens of thousands daily. While authorities say the system is stable, accountants and legal experts warn that KSeF significantly changes invoicing, payment processes and liquidity risk.
The real stress test is expected once normal weekday transaction volumes fully hit the system.
