Greenvolt Power has launched one of Poland’s largest battery energy storage facilities in Turośń Kościelna. The 200 MW, 800 MWh site consists of 196 battery modules and 49 transformer stations and uses lithium iron phosphate technology. It can respond to grid operator signals within seconds, supporting system balancing and renewable energy integration. From 2028, the project will participate in Poland’s capacity market under a 17-year contract covering 170 MW. Greenvolt is also completing a similar facility in Ełk and developing a 600 MW, 2.4 GWh project in Siedlce.

The company plans to invest around EUR 800 mln in Polish renewable energy assets by the end of 2026.
