Paweł Gruza to replace Iwona Duda as PKO BP CEO

PKO BP's supervisory board has appointed Paweł Gruza as president of the bank's management board. Iwona Duda, the bank's current CEO, resigned at the end of August 9, 2022, PKO BP said in a press release.

The supervisory board appointed Paweł Gruza as vice chairman of the bank's board of directors as of August 10, 2022, for the current joint term of the board of directors, which began on July 3, 2020, and is subject to the approval of the Financial Supervision Commission and as of the date of such approval, appointed him as chairman of the bank.

Pending the approval of the Financial Supervision Commission, the supervisory board entrusted Pawel Gruza with the management of the board's work.

Paweł Gruza had served as vice president of Foreign Assets at KGHM since September 2018. He had been deputy finance minister since November 2016.

Between April and November 2016, he was Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Treasury. As a representative of the minister responsible for financial institutions, he was also a member of the Financial Supervision Commission.

Iwona Duda had been on the bank's board of directors since October 2021. She had been chairman of the board since January 26, 2022, having previously headed the board as vice chairman.
