Poland led Europe in Economic growth in 2025
Poland’s growth engines remain strong, making its economy the fastest-growing in the European Union in 2025. Real GDP rose by 3.6% year on year, ahead of Cyprus and Bulgaria, while most EU economies expanded more slowly. This performance is notable given global uncertainty, trade tensions, weak external demand, and the ongoing war to Poland’s east. Growth has been driven mainly by domestic demand: investments increased by 4.2% and private consumption by 3.7%, while net exports likely weighed on GDP.
Poland’s consistent outperformance of the EU average confirms that economic convergence with Western Europe continues. However, sustaining this pace will require productivity gains, innovation, and investment as labor resources shrink.
