Poland to rival EU giants
At Impact'26, Minister Domański laid out an ambitious ten-year economic vision for Poland, setting the explicit goal of joining the three most influential economies in the European Union. He framed energy transition — accelerating the buildout of large-scale renewables and a planned first nuclear power plant — as the single most critical driver of industrial competitiveness, calling it Poland's economic "holy grail." Deepening the capital market, channelling up to PLN 100 billion of new investment by 2040 through instruments such as Personal Investment Accounts and the PFR DeepTech fund, and building Poland's standing in the E6 group of major EU finance ministers were cited as the other pillars. Domański added that Warsaw could catch up with UK GDP per capita levels within five to six years.
