Polish firms stall on AI
Polish companies are eager to explore artificial intelligence, yet most remain stuck in experimentation rather than implementation, according to PwC’s latest report. Although 75% of large firms conducted AI or advanced analytics projects this year, only 45% have a formal strategy, and 66% say their initiatives never move beyond pilots. More than half report limited or no benefits.
A parallel trend is unfolding among employees: 80% have no formal approval to use generative AI at work, yet many do so anyway—69% for information searches and 40% for text creation.
One exception is AI agents. Already used by 44% of companies (with 14% planning adoption), they deliver measurable outcomes: 53% report cost reductions, 49% improved customer service, and 44% higher productivity.
Despite fears of job loss, 73% of firms report no staff cuts; instead, 42% are expanding AI specialist teams. The most tangible gains appear in IT and operations, though high costs and cybersecurity risks still slow progress.
