Andrzej Domański, Poland's Finance Minister, announced that the Ministry of Finance has no plans to revise the 2024 budget. Despite rising inflation and economic challenges, the government remains committed to its original budgetary framework set earlier this year.
The 2024 budget, as presented, forecasts significant expenditures to address key areas such as healthcare, social programs, and defense. The budget includes allocations of over PLN 190 billion (€42.4 billion) for healthcare, PLN 137 billion (€30 billion) for social programs, and PLN 158 billion (€35 billion) for security and defense initiatives.
The budget aims for a 3.0 percent GDP growth in 2024, with an anticipated average annual inflation rate of 6.6 percent. This fiscal plan reflects a consistent approach to Poland's financial strategy, aligning with the assumptions made during the revision of the 2023 budget.
