Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the construction of a new grain terminal in Gdańsk, owned by a state-controlled company. Scheduled for completion by 2026, the project will cost approximately PLN 0.5 billion and aim to enhance Poland’s agricultural security and export capacity.


Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak highlighted the terminal’s impact, increasing handling capacity from 30,000 tons to 150,000 tons. The Port of Gdańsk will invest PLN 400 million in supporting road and rail infrastructure. Deputy Infrastructure Minister Arkadiusz Marchewka emphasized that total investments, including warehouses and upgraded facilities, will reach PLN 0.5 billion.


Additionally, in early 2025, an agreement for gas terminal infrastructure worth PLN 800 million will be signed to bolster energy security.
