The Polish Airports Company (Przedsiębiorstwo Porty Lotnicze) will be transformed into a joint stock company and after entering into a single capital group with the Central Communication Port (CPK) it will become dependent on it

The merger of Przedsiębiorstwo Porty Lotnicze (PPL) with the Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) (Central Communication Port) assumes a draft law on streamlining the CPK investment process, which appeared on the website of the Government Legislation Centre. Its author is the Ministry of Infrastructure.

As we read in the justification, the aim is to “concentrate in one entity competences and tasks in the strategic planning and management of the national airport infrastructure. “This will also allow for increased coordination of investment activities in this area. This is because it is expected that only a strong capital group will be able to more effectively resist market demands and be a generator of economic development, while in emergency situations (such as a crisis caused by a pandemic) to be stable support for the entire sector,” write the authors of the project.
