Turkish Airlines looking to be leaders in air cargo transport in Poland
Sedat Orman, VP of Sales at Turkish Airlines overseeing Eastern Europe, revealed the airline’s expansion plans in Poland and its broader cargo ambitions. Turkish Airlines is already the third-largest air cargo carrier globally and aims to become the world leader. The airline is analyzing potential new routes in Poland, alongside existing services to Warsaw and Kraków. Turkish Cargo plans to expand its cargo destinations to 120 by 2028 and 150 by 2033, with 44 freighters in the fleet. Despite challenges from EU sustainable fuel mandates, Turkish Airlines is committed to reducing emissions.
It will begin SAF usage in 2025 and has launched domestic SAF production in Turkey to reduce costs and dependency on imports.
