Chopin Airport transported 1.9 million passengers in July, which is about 0.3 percent less compared to the same period in 2018. At the same time, the number of flights performed by passenger aircraft increased by 1.3 percent y/y. There were 16 800 take-offs and landings.
The July statistics were influenced by the grounding of Boeing 737 MAX planes, which were replaced by planes that take fewer passengers on board, the airport said in a statement.
