EEC 2026: Europe’s economy at a turning point
Europe is entering a period of profound transformation shaped by geopolitical tensions, economic uncertainty and rapid technological change. These challenges will be at the center of discussions during the 18th European Economic Congress (EEC), taking place on April 22–24, 2026, in Katowice, Poland.
As one of the leading business forums in Central and Eastern Europe, the Congress brings together policymakers, business leaders and investors to address key issues affecting the continent’s future. This year’s edition, held under the theme “The power of dialogue,” highlights the growing importance of cooperation across sectors and borders in navigating complex global challenges.
A central topic will be Europe’s role in an increasingly fragmented global economy. Discussions will focus on economic resilience, competitiveness and security, as well as the evolving position of Central and Eastern Europe in global supply chains and investment flows.
The agenda will also cover industrial transformation, energy transition and digitalization. Participants will explore how companies can adapt to disrupted supply chains, rising costs and regulatory pressures, while maintaining growth and innovation.
The Congress will feature a strong lineup of speakers, including senior government officials and business leaders such as Rafał Brzoska, CEO of InPost; Sebastian Kulczyk, international investor; Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance; Krzysztof Gawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs; Szymon Midera, CEO of PKO Bank Polski; Joao Brás Jorge, CEO of Bank Millennium; and Przemysław Gdański, CEO of BNP Paribas Bank Polska.
With thousands of participants expected, the European Economic Congress continues to serve as a platform for dialogue, strategic thinking and building partnerships that shape Europe’s economic future.
