GUS: trade balance remained negative for Poland at PLN 26.4 bln in 2025
Poland’s exports exceeded PLN 1.55 trillion in 2025, but the trade balance remained negative at PLN 26.3 billion, according to the Central Statistical Office. Exports rose 2% year on year, while imports increased 3.9%, meaning Poland bought more goods than it sold abroad. Developed countries accounted for 87.1% of exports, with the European Union representing nearly three quarters. Germany was by far Poland’s largest export market, absorbing 26.9% of total exports, followed by the Czech Republic and France. On the import side, Germany also ranked first, ahead of China and the United States.
Poland recorded a surplus with developed countries but a large deficit with developing economies.
