New draft of salary transparency law introduced by Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy
Poland’s Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy has published a new version of draft legislation on pay transparency, aimed at implementing the EU directive on equal pay for women and men for the same work or work of equal value. The draft has been significantly expanded and would take effect six months after publication. A key change is a mandatory job valuation system based on uniform, objective and gender-neutral criteria, including qualifications, experience, responsibility, effort and relevant soft skills.
Employers would also need to create pay structures, analyze gender pay gaps and report differences covering base pay, bonuses and variable components. The rules will increase transparency for employees but also raise compliance, documentation and reputational risks for employers.
