Boom in art market attracts crooks

Boom in art market attracts crooks
Source: Art Fix Daily

Low interest rates made Poles try to invest in works of art en masse. The highest turnover in a year is always recorded at auctions in December. Recently, the number of new, previously unknown auction organizers has increased. They want to make a fortune in December. Online auctions favor the anonymity of sellers. This is a serious threat to customers.
Recently, new buyers in the art and antiques market have appeared en masse, and they are particularly at risk. Poles are frantically trying to allocate their financial surpluses, looking for safe investments.
The supply is as low as ever. There were more sellers - the artistic quality of the offered goods dropped dramatically. The authenticity of some objects raises doubts.
Before buying, it is worth assessing what practical possibilities of making a complaint about the goods are. In the case of sellers known on the market for years, it is much more likely that our complaints will be considered.
