Collapse of euro zone does not have to be a disaster – RPP

“The collapse of the euro zone would be a shock, but a relatively small one. It would also have its advantages,” Eryk Łon, member of the RPP (Monetary Policy Council), wrote in a statement. In his opinion, those advantages could be felt by countries which, like Poland, are building a “culture of stability.”
“If the scenario of the euro zone’s breakup is seriously considered, it should not be feared. Obviously, such a scenario could be associated with some problems, but it would be a small shock, due to the stability of the zloty,” Łon added.
