Poland will create investment fund for companies looking to invest in Ukraine
Polish companies waiting for over a year will soon have access to a new insurance instrument for investments in Ukraine. Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz announced that the insurance, backed by the Polish government, will be available not only to Polish firms but also to foreign companies, including Ukrainian entrepreneurs. This unique instrument in Europe will be provided by state export credit insurer KUKE and aims to support bilateral economic cooperation. In addition, the Polish government is preparing a new investment fund, financed through PFR (Polish Development Fund) bonds, to further assist Polish investments in Ukraine.
Minister Emilewicz emphasized the advantages of Polish firms acting as intermediaries for Western companies interested in investing in Ukraine, citing geographical proximity, cultural familiarity, and experience. The government is also working on simplifying Ukrainian public procurement regulations and providing a Polish guide for foreign companies.
