At the end of November, construction works began on the premises of the post-industrial complex of Widzewska Manufaktura (WIMA). Cavatina Holding thus begins the revitalization of 140-year-old historic buildings at Piłsudskiego 135 in Łódź.
WIMA in Łódź was handed over to its current owner in August this year. On 4 ha, the investor will build a multi-functional facility that will deliver approximately 55,000 sqm of space to the market within three years, creating a place to work, live, and free time.
Łódź has a very strong tradition of post-industrial buildings, mainly built in the 19th century. At the beginning of this century, the city became famous for its spectacular revitalization of large post-industrial complexes. Manufaktura is the best known from this period – one of the first mixed-use complexes in Poland. The city is currently the fifth regional market in Poland with over 550,000 sqm of office space resources.
"We are delighted to have launched this extraordinary project. Historic architecture is not only a great design and construction challenges but above all the developer's commitment to consciously and responsibly fulfill its city-forming role. services to attract both tenants and residents of Łódź," Sebastian Świstak, Leasing Director of Cavatina Holding in Łódź, said.
The reconstruction will be carried out in accordance with the conservation guidelines.
