Fitch predicts Poland’s GDP growth in ‘27 to be 3.0%
Fitch raised its forecast for Poland's 2026 GDP growth to 3.5% from 3.3%, citing strong Q2 results and upward revisions for Germany and the eurozone. It expects growth to slow to 3.0% in 2027 (previously 2.9%) and 3.1% in 2028 (previously 3.2%), as investment cools after EU recovery fund (KPO) spending ends this year. Fiscal policy is likely to stay accommodative, with consolidation postponed until the 2027 parliamentary elections.
Consumption growth should remain below 2025 levels as credit expansion and the labor market ease. Fitch sees inflation at 3.7% at end-2026 and 3.0% at end-2027, with one 25 bp central bank rate cut in 2027 to 3.5%, and a weaker zloty ahead.
