We have decided to accelerate the opening of cinemas, theaters, philharmonics, and cultural institutions by eight days (on May 21), Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced. He stressed that they would have to operate in a sanitary regime.

At the Children's Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw, Prime Minister Morawiecki disclosed that, together with the head of the Ministry of Health, Adam Niedzielski, and the Medical Council, decided to make some modifications related to the plan to introduce milder safety rules related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We are accelerating the opening of cinemas, theaters, philharmonics, cultural institutions by one week - eight days to be exact – on May 21, so that in the sanitary regime, which is worth emphasizing non-stop, these sections of social and socio-economic life could be earlier run,” Morawiecki informed.

He added that the sports industry – fitness clubs and swimming pools – will start operating on May 28, which is one day earlier than previously assumed.

Originally, it was planned to open up cinemas, cultural institutions, and sports facilities from May 29.
