‘There will be some loosening in a few weeks’: finance ministry
Lifting the restrictions is possible in the coming weeks, according to Tadeusz Kościński, Minister of Finance. He called on entrepreneurs not to resume business activity.
“In case of problems, they can turn to the Tax Offices and try to negotiate postponements,” Kościński assured.
Recently, the lifting of restrictions has been demanded by some entrepreneurs – mainly hoteliers and restaurateurs, as well as owners of ski slopes. Some people announce the opening of their businesses despite the applicable restrictions.
The Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology recommends that trade, including shopping malls, be opened first. The head of this ministry, Jarosław Gowin, said at the press conference that if the number of infections and deaths drops, the government will return to discussing possible dates of defrosting individual sectors of the economy next week. At the same time, he noted that it was too early to give details.
The current epidemic restrictions are valid until January 31.
