‘When dividing the EU budget, countries cannot be punished for their successes’

“When dividing the EU budget, countries cannot be punished for their successes,” PM Mateusz Morawiecki said.

In his opinion, instruments for rebuilding Europe after the crisis should take into account the level of development and needs of individual countries and be fair.

Morawiecki reminded that the budget allocated for reconstruction after the pandemic - under the European Instrument for Reconstruction - was outlined by the European Commission for €750 billion.

"This is a good starting point for major projects in Europe to rebuild its economy," Morawiecki added.
