The 35th edition of the Warsaw Film Festival, which started on Friday, was marked by the screening of The Barefoot Emperor, an unconventional sequel to “King of the Belgians". The festival audience will be able to watch 180 films from 63 countries, including "Judy and Punch" by Mirrah Foulkes and "Listen to the universe" by Keie Ishikawa.
One of the most anticipated films is Vaclav Marhoul's The Painted Bird, a black-and-white film based on the book by Jerzy Kosiński. The film's world premiere took place at the Venice International Film Festival. The festival in Warsaw will last until October 20.
