Eurostat: inflation in Poland grew to 2.6% in August

Inflation in Poland,  as measured by the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), accelerated to 2.6 percent in August against 2.5 percent y/y in July, Eurostat said. On a monthly basis, inflation fell by 0.1 percent.

In the entire EU, inflation amounted to 1.4 percent y/y in August.

The HICP measures monthly price changes in the cost of purchasing a representative basket of consumer goods and services.
