As for the increase and decrease in the number of unemployed, we estimate that July will be comparable to June, claimed Marlena Maląg, Poland’s labor and social policy minister. She added that from July 1-13, about 3,000 people were added to the pool of unemployed.
She said at the end of June the unemployment rate amounted to 6.1 percent. There were then over 1.025 million unemployed people. And 100,000 have been left jobless since the Covid-19 outbreak in Poland in March.
