American magazine Forbes has published an article claiming that the promotion of renewable energy sources suits mostly the oil and gas sector potentates. Countries that increase the share of renewable energy sources (RES) in their energy mixes go away from nuclear energy and fall into a greater dependence on fossil fuels, the author of the article argues.
He also claims that over the last three years the largest oil and gas producers invested over $1 billion in advertising renewable energy. He adds that environmental activists promoting RES are, at the same time, fighting nuclear energy which is cleaner and more safer.
