Consumer protection watchdog fines Idea Bank

Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) found that Idea Bank was using unfair market practices and violated the collective interests of its clients. The Office imposed on the bank, among others, a PLN 17.3 million penalty. Idea Bank reported on July 14 that it had received decisions issued by the head of UOKiK.
Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Warsaw, Idea Bank is controlled by Getin Holding and Getin Noble Bank. Its main shareholder is Polish billionaire Leszek Czarnecki.
