GUS: developers built 132,200 residential units in first eight months of ‘26
Poland’s developers completed more than 132,200 homes between January and August 2026, according to Statistics Poland. Mazowieckie led with over 26,000 units, followed by Małopolskie with nearly 13,800 and Wielkopolskie with about 13,300. Together, these three regions accounted for over 40% of national completions. Opolskie ranked last, with 1,957 homes.
Construction activity was strongest in July, when 19,250 homes were completed, followed by June and August. Annual completions totaled about 221,300 in 2023, 200,100 in 2024, and 208,300 in 2025. However, average apartment size has declined from 90 sq m in 2023 to 87 sq m in 2025. The number of construction companies increased, while average employment fell slightly.
