CBRE survey: 48% of shopping mall customers would shop on Sunday
Nearly half of shopping center customers in Poland would shop on Sundays if they could, according to a CBRE survey. Some 48% of respondents support Sunday shopping, while 28% are against it. Interest is strongest among people aged 35-44, at 57%, followed by younger consumers aged 18-24 and 25-34. CBRE says the results reflect a demand for greater flexibility, especially among working people and families who have less time during the week. Shopping centers are also no longer just retail venues, but places for dining, entertainment, services and social meetings.
The survey suggests that, despite six years of Sunday trading restrictions, many consumers still see Sunday as a convenient time to visit malls.
