Fort Kraków will accelerate development of dual use technology
An innovation hub linking SMEs, academia, and the defense sector is testing technologies addressing modern threats and plans a new accelerator program with the Polish Development Fund.
Startups in the NATO DIANA program, run locally by Krakow Technology Park and AGH University of Science and Technology, are developing dual-use defense solutions, especially for detecting and countering drones. Each company receives EUR 100k plus access to experts, military testing, and defense networks.
Some startups may secure investment rounds and contracts with institutions like the European Space Agency or the U.S. Department of Defense.
A new IDA Bootcamp will support 30 Polish firms with dual-use technologies. The key focus is low-cost, scalable anti-drone systems, seen as critical for modern warfare and infrastructure protection.
