Poles spend more on supplements than Germans and French
Poles spend an average of about EUR 43 per person annually on vitamins and dietary supplements, more than consumers in Germany and France, though still less than in the U.K. and Italy. According to OC&C Strategy Consultants, future market growth will come less from new customers and more from increasingly specialized needs among existing users. The fastest-growing categories include products supporting mood and relaxation, digestive health, men’s health, energy, women’s health, memory, concentration, and appearance.
Consumers are also paying more attention to ingredients, dosage, safety, and evidence of effectiveness. Online sales now account for nearly one-third of the market, compared with less than 10% a decade ago, helping digital-first supplement brands build awareness before entering pharmacy chains.
