American fund invests €52 mln in Polish industrial real estate
W. P. Carey has completed a EUR 52 mln sale-leaseback transaction in Poland involving two Purmo Group manufacturing facilities totaling about 83,400 sq m. Purmo will remain the tenant under a 20-year triple-net lease with annual CPI-linked rent increases. The facilities, located in western Poland near major road routes, produce most of Purmo’s panel radiators and play a key role in the company’s European distribution network.
Purmo said the capital released through the transaction will support its long-term growth and investment plans. The deal also expands W. P. Carey’s presence in Poland, where the company has invested more than EUR 900 mln since 2006 and continues to seek strategic sale-leaseback opportunities.
